Barriers to Care

Barriers to care is a huge issue that can leave patients with conditions that threaten both their oral and overall health. These barriers range from finances, geographical location, and oral health illiteracy.

Water Fluoridation

Water fluorination has huge benefits, and has proven to prevent tooth decay. There are recommended levels of fluorination for the water, but not all communities fluoridate their water. The ADA and other health organizations continue to fight to get all communities to fluoridate their water levels and check their levels regularly to keep our smiles healthy!

Midlevel Providers

Midlevel providers are individuals who do not have the traditional four years of dental school training but can perform irreversible procedures on the public.
